amen....next time we just need to coordinate better and find a way to help please people on an ooc level.

I take full responsibility for thrusting it on people without much ooc coordination.

I tried to prep challa by asking her to get involved in other activites we were doing but she always said no....then showed up anyway on her own terms.  I assumed this ment coordination was not her desire.  In truth being forced into a plot not of her own design was what she was opposed to.

The thing that you continue to miss and that your guildleader never understood is that where you let conflict define your characters, people like Challa, myself and many others let our characters develop independently and let those characters define our conflicts. I haven't seen anyone but Neverlin or OOTB members say it was the highlight of RP on the server because to most of us involved in developing our characters for their own stories, it wasn't.  I saw more engaging RP in the internal barracks life of Invicta (before I left/was thrown out :p) in terms of the interplay of the personalities within their structure, because it allowed those personalities to be distinct vs a large battle where you have officers commanding and troopers following orders. Contrary to all your continued protestation, large scale conflict swallows up individuals, even the leaders, because they have to focus on the task at hand as well as everyone else.

In terms of the actual battles (and some of them were fun at times until the inevitable BS on the boards) after VI and TSS left the server in early August there weren't any other large scale battles, there weren't any sieges. Hell, there weren't any battle keeps to speak of until December and I think the whole WAR thing was partly responsible for that delay: people were responding to calls to arms and gearing up for the next confrontation instead of focusing on the guild cities and building the keeps. And honestly I think the whole thing would have been more satisfying if there would have been siege warfare involved and its forcing of some consequences as opposed to some rather arbitrary, random and inevitably inconsequential conflicts. In terms of story building the battles weren't any different than a raid on Kylliki/Vistrix/Yahkmar/etc, killing any other NPCs or a minigame: winning or losing never changed or defined anything. The only thing near to that was Satet-ka and the Serpents RPing that we burnt their city when we rescued Vhaelon and their self-imposed exile which wasn't really backed by any actions people took in what was essentially a "snatch and grab".

But thats the past and thats as near as I wish to go in reliving it. I hope most of you find enjoyment on Cimmeria now the transfers are allowed. I won't be back. There are some great RPers out there in people like Kemena, Vhaelon, Karone, Aurelius, Moki, Laeris, Mandisa, Satet-ka (when he's IC: when he mixes IC and OOC he gets confusing) and others (even Cyril if he goes but he needs to concentrate on being Cyril and not necessarily someone's nemisis: that will come on its own :p ), that can't help but enrich the environment of Cimmeria. Someone toss Honey/Beauty/Emuisheri a hug for me.  I hope to see more stories come to life now that you guys are part of a healthy RP-PVP server again. Good luck and I may see some of you in future games or I may not, just depends on how it goes.
