An Invictian Wedding
A short notice is written on parchment and posted on the wall of the keep, as well as the Trade centers of Tarantia, Khemi, and Conarch Village...
Let it be known that on the eve of Thursday of this week, at eight and one half bells past the noon hour,
Brutas of Invicta will take Andromada of Invicta to be his wife, and she will take him as her husband,
according to local laws and customs, at the Temple located in the Noble's District.
The couple wishes for all of Invicta as well as friends of Invicta to attend, and to also attend the reception
to be held at the Boar's Head Inn in Tesso immediately following the ceremony.

Wedding will be held Thursday before Tesso Night, in the *EPIC* instance of the Noble's District, at the Temple.
Time will be at 8:30 EST (7:30 CST), and the reception will be at Tesso, during the normal Thursday night at Tesso event..

It was the signal.
Voices in her head competed for Dawn’s attention as she wavered, steeped in the serious moral dilemma Neverlin placed her in. It felt like a blanket smothered her thoughts, suffocating them before reaching the surface. She turned to face the Invictan, as if seeing her would help Dawn reach a decision. It only complicated the matter. Kemena was slim, her ample bosom concealed under a modest homespun dress. The embroidered neckline of her white gown revealed the Lady's graceful neck. Dawn thought Kemena stood as a statue of righteousness, an epitome of mankind. She sighed, while Wardawn was hardly a stranger to violence, Kemena's aura of sincerity contrasted sharply with Neverlin's clever sophistries
She swallowed hard, wishing she was back in Pollopont.

It was midday, yet still she felt chilly, unaccustomed to the gentle sun of the Northern lands. Or maybe these were the recent changes in her body, due to almost constant use of Xotli's powers. Going back wasn't easy. Her guise as a priestess made her forget, no wonder - humans forget easily. The body forgot, and although the pain was gone from the arms and back, the memory of it still lingered: training without a day's rest with that sword wasn't easy.

(Auorix slides his polearm back and forth across his thighs as he sits by the fountain in the Noble district that had been the location of many changes in his short life)

(Helm heavy, Auorix unstraps the chin guard and lifts it off of his head to rest at his side at the fountain. The lines of stress evident near his eyes and face)

Aurelius stepped into the throne room with a stride more arrogant than he felt. It wasn’t so much that he felt awed by the King… he remembered when he first saw him, marching in line behind the other young men from Poitain who’d gathered under his banner. He was a far-off figure astride a horse, seeming somehow larger despite riding among Poitain’s nobility dressed in their finest, glistening armor and blue-dyed horsehair-festooned helms. Later, when he stood to address the troops before battle, Aurelius could barely hear the deep baritone shouts of the Cimmerian over the din of the host around him. Men coughing, speaking in low tones to one another, armor chinking against armor… he only new to shout in agreement when the men at the front ranks started shouting.

Neverlin’s horse took one last burning breath, and then died of exhaustion.
The cherry-black steed neighed pathetically in death throes as it tripped over its own legs and began crumpling in a heap at the foot of the red brick fortress. As the corpse of his warhorse collapsed, Neverlin leaped from its saddle like a panther and alighted nimbly on the blood stained granite steps leading up to one of the many undisclosed lairs of Nox Eternus. Without braking stride, he landed and stalked coolly up the long familiar staircase.

((I’ve done my best to capture the events of this weekend from Aurelius’ point of view, touching on some points, dropping a few here and there. I didn’t chatlog anything (I’d kill for a decent chatlogger in the game!), so most of the conversations are from memory and as honest as I can recall))
Aurelius had barely slept the last forty-eight hours. The dust and stink of all Hyborea’s lands still clung to him, even on the clothing he’d worn beneath his armor. Every muscle ached, from battle, from travel, from the lack of sleep. Yet, he still could not sleep.
