Stygia
Stygian Culture Guild
Lady Zaraseret of Luxur, cousin of Pharaoh Ctesiphon, presides over the House of the Bright Snake (Hedj Djet) from her palace in Stygia's great capital. Unlike the other lotus dreaming nobles she is fully awake and curious about the world. At twenty-six she has taken the lead as the scion of her House and made it her business to personally run the various components that continue the family's wealth and works to cement their power in Stygia. Establishing a presence on Akhet Isle in the port city when she is not in Luxur, she pursues her family's interests and her own.
The details: The guild structure is quite loose. This is to be a true Stygian culture guild. Only Stygians need apply though Zaraseret will ideally also have an elite guard of DTs who have converted to either Set and/or Dereketo worship and have sworn allegiance to Hedj Djet. All other character races will be slaves.
Stygian High Council Meeting
The Stygian High Council will convene in Nakeset Village to make preparations for war. All high priests of recognized noble houses are asked to represent.

Darfari Investigation (Meleos' Perspective)
The summons were sent out across Stygia. All who were curious to the recent Darfari change in behavior were to visit Nebyet as soon as they could. Those who wished to help protect Stygia and Set's people were to ride for the city walls as well. Scholars, historians, soldiers, leaders, priests, anyone ... everyone was needed.
The Darfari had long been content to infest the Purple Lotus Swamp, encroaching further and further as the months turned into years. Their cannibalistic behavior left blood stained across the dense foilage as the native animals and reptiles were consumed in the absence of human sacrifice. But more recently, they have been attacking any who ride towards Nebyet as well as the city guards themselves. Several guards have gone missing and a few visitors to the Golden City of Set have been wounded on their way in.

The Celebration of a Birth
Maziken had prepared much of the week for the celebration. He made sure that the servants of the temple cleaned the marble floors and polished the statue of the Goddess. He had them prepare several tables for the refreshments and retrieve a few bottles of wine from Nebyet's cellars. He meticulously put together his gift for the mother and child, wrapping it in fine, deep violet silks.
The day had finally come and the hour was near. He stood near the entrance to Nebyet, waiting to greet any that would come help honour this mother and child. From the corner of his eye, he caught a glimpse of Sybaryss approaching. She carried a small basket at her side, a smile written across her lips. Maziken returned her smile and looked curiously to her basket before he saw the little bundle of wolf pelts inside.
"Are we all prepared for tonight, Syb?" he asked with a bit of excitement.
Yom K'lil
*IC*
This Saturday, ((October 11th)) is a religious holiday for devout Setites, Derketoists, and/or loyal Stygians, Yom K’lil (The Crown Holiday). During the day, all shall fast as they spend the day in prayer in the temples/ruins of Set/Derketo. The fast is to symbolize the harsh trials Set had gone through in his effort of getting the Crown of the Gods. He spent eighty years in test after test against Horus, only to lose it due to the trickery of Isis, Horus' mother. Derketoists look at this holiday as a time to think of how hard life is, and we must work hard to find enjoyment in all things, no matter how horrid things may seem. Every Stygian shall listen to the tale of The Contendings of Horus and Set be told by a High Priest, then pray to the Serpent God that he shall honor them with hard trials that they can grow and overcome, gaining rewards from his Goddess Derketo.
