History: As a child she was weak. The only child in a family with no mother and soon no father to watch over her, Lora grew up on the streets stealing and begging for a living tell she was only nine years old. Countless times had she been pushed to her limits of survival, as she pushed aside other baggers, fought off stray dogs for food, and eluded guards for one full year, but her struggle came to an end one fate full day, a day she remembers as the start to her transformation into a predator.

Lora was the second best student in her class. Always competing with her friend and changing ranks with him from first to second every year. Their rivalry as students made others believe they had something more between them, but the two loved each other as brother and sister. For years they perfected each others skills, earning them the title the demons of cradle. But before they were demons they were children. Abandoned like so many others these children where given a choice, to become what they feared most or become apart of the family in another way.

Lora had chosen the path of the blade, a bold venture into the house of assassins inspired by the memory of her late father and new family.

Her training would be another test to her will power and survival, both pushing her to the point of insanity and into the comfort of death it self. She would be wipe, kicked, stabbed, drowned, and burned repeatedly only to be healed and restored by the dark arts of her family and sent back into the fire tell the act of feeling such pain was no more. She watched as captured sailors and spies were put threw the same acts and their bones turned to dust. At the age of thirteen Lora would have her first mental brake down and be sent to sit in darkness tell her mind was centered. Such a fate could be seen as cruel and unnecessary but for the life of an assassin in cradle it was apart of growing up. Many who took the path of the blade changed forever, some never returned from their coma like states, but for those who did they moved on to become something more then the darkness around them, they became the embodiment of fear itself. Will power and bodies refined into cold steal, emotions as dry as a desert, and minds as sharp as blades, they toned their skills and bodies to resist venom and infections, filled their blood with toxins and anti venoms, and learned to craft weapons and tools from the simplest of things. Those that survived their next few years would become living testaments to the power and history of the people who in habited Cradle, Lora is one of these people.

At the age of nineteen, Lora’s quest for power grew and grew. She started to repeat her previous lessons, and finding new ways to elude watchers earning her the nickname “red fox” for her crafty ordeals. By the age of twenty-one she was granted the right to make a pact with a shadow demon to boost her skills and purpose in life. She became a soul collector or one who collects debts. Her blades now not only served her home land but the afterlife itself, granting her a longer life.

But not every thing comes with out a price. Lora’s upbringing had changed her not only mentally but physically as well. Lora can no longer eat solid foods. Instead she grinds her meals to a paste or dries them out before consumption. Her unholy powers are governed by the souls she collects leaving her in a constant state of flux of owner ship over her own movements. To make matters worse the demon who granted her powers, wants her body for his own vessel but, since he cannot forcibly take it, he plays his own game to win her over. An unholy marriage between demon and flesh is what he wishes.

Lora also suffers from pains from her beatings as a child. These pains make her moody and trigger her blood lust, and though this does not sound like a problem for someone like her they can be problematic for the ones she cares about. When these lusts take over she will kill anyone without thinking, collecting with it their very souls as she goes.

Lora is a skilled fighter with a strong left hook but where she excels most, is the way she thinks. Lora is cunning and always planning ahead of the game. When her mind becomes set on something she will not break from it until it is done. Torture has always been a subject of amusement to Lora. The act of breaking one for information or pay back has been wiped from her mind as a means to gather information due to her childhood. Instead, Lora will pick a more wicked approach. She will target family members, loved ones, people you know, and even go for objects of you desire or take comfort in. Her reason for doing this is simple, “Though the mind can be broken it can be fixed with time. Though the body can be broken it can be trained to withstand and mended with time and care, but the things we seek for comfort, friendship, and our family cannot be replaced, when you have nothing left, then you are broken.” – Lora the red fox.
