Bring Forth the Horde!!!

Hyperboria! Our time is at hand. The bloodspire horde approaches, so what do we do? Do we use our transfer to organize on another server? Or do we surge into the breech and band together to Dominate this as a RP server,,,, Funcom will not help us, Our souls are in our hands, its what we make of them now. We flee like rats in the flood or we come together now as one, all the small guilds merge now with whom best suits their RP style and 4 large guilds go forth to police this server as a RP server.........

Well, Victavius, having four large guilds go in to Bloodspire will not work. Smaller guilds, fresher guilds, are what are going to be the swing vote in this--because they aren't full of 80's that don't do anything. They'll be in the trenches, fighting in Tesso, taking control of Connall's, and killing people in Field of the Dead. NOT your top-level players, they'll either be hiding in their keeps and burying their head in the sand, ignoring the pleas of their less-leveled counterparts or they'll be in Khesh getting their asses whipped by true PvPers.
The problem with the bigger, more established guilds is just this. They are already 80 and may or may not have an alt. They don't have to level any longer, so what happens to those members that do need their levels? They either ignore the "I'm in Eggos and getting ganked" or they come and suck all the XP out by babysitting the members while they quest, if they deign to come out at all. Don't get me wrong, not all guilds do that, but ignoring the problem won't make it go away, and it's going to get worse.
Banding together in an RP community will be necessary if this server is not labeled RP. However, that point will soon be moot if it's labeled PvP because any new members that DO come will be PvP oriented and the RP community will soon be looking for greener pastures. So do not quash what little variety we have in RP, and don't consolidate into four large guilds...because if you do, your RP just went to shit and down the toilet with no viable way to keep storylines going. There will be -no- variety.
As for us here at Clan White Bear, we are not happy, but we smile in the face of adversity. Our hammers and our kin will see us through. There will always be Stygians to kill, no matter where we go. So heed my warning, those that shelter foul sorcerers! My hammer is coming!
